Krew Base Network Ltd, 22A Maryport Road, Cardiff CF23 5JX, United Kingdom (“we”) runs Cronyx, an app that helps content creators track brand deals, deadlines and content. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and your rights. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account: your email address, name, password (stored only as a one-way hash), timezone and reminder preferences.
- Gmail (only if you connect it): read access to your messages (and send permission only if you turn on sending — see below). We store the sender, subject, a snippet and the text of emails we sync, so we can spot brand collaboration requests and show them in your Inbox.
- What you enter: deals, fees, deliverables, usage-rights dates, content plans and scripts.
- Videos (Studio, only if you use it): the clips you upload and the finished edit, the speech in them turned into text (by Groq, or on our own server if Groq is unavailable) so the edit can be planned, and your “Describe your edit” words. Quick edit runs on your phone — those videos never reach us.
- Support messages: what you write to us in Help & support, and our replies.
- Payments (Pro only): handled by Google Play (in the Android app) or Stripe (if you choose to pay Cronyx directly). We never see or store your card number; we keep only your subscription status and, for Google Play, the purchase reference Google gives us.
- Devices: a notification token if you allow push notifications, and the phone’s make, model, Android version and notification settings, so we can fix notifications that don’t arrive.
How Gmail data is used
Emails are read to decide whether each one is a brand collaboration request and to pull out the brand, contact and any stated fee, which become deals in your Work tab. When you ask for a reply draft, the email is used to write it.
Sending (only if you turn it on): by default our access is read-only. If you switch on Auto-reply or use “Send via Gmail”, you give Cronyx separate permission to send email from your Gmail. Cronyx then sends only replies to brand emails: your own message (semi-auto), a reply written by AI (full auto), or a reply you wrote and tapped Send on. Automatic replies wait a few minutes so you can cancel them, are never sent to automated or bulk mail, and go at most once per conversation. Cronyx never sends anything else, and never deletes or changes your email. You can switch Auto-reply off at any time, and disconnect Gmail in Settings, which also revokes our access at Google.
Cronyx’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or let humans read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires. We do not use Gmail data to develop or train AI models.
Who processes your data
- DeepSeek (servers in China) — AI that classifies emails, writes scripts and reply drafts, and plans Studio edits. Only the email, idea or text of a video’s speech being processed is sent — never the video itself.
- Moonshot AI (Kimi) (servers in China) — backup AI used only if DeepSeek is unavailable, for the same tasks.
- Groq (a US company; it may process data in the United States and other countries where it operates) — turns the speech in your Studio clips into text. Only the audio of the spoken parts is sent — never the picture. Under Groq’s terms it doesn’t keep this audio or the text after transcribing it, except that it may log them temporarily (up to 30 days) when fixing errors or investigating abuse, and it may not use them to train AI models.
- Google — Gmail access and sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
- Google Play — payments for Pro in the Android app. Stripe — payments for Pro when you pay Cronyx directly. When you choose Stripe inside the Android app, the payment amount (not your card details) is reported to Google, as Google requires.
- Brevo — reminder, account and support emails.
- Cloudflare — secure network connection to our server.
Our server and database are in the United Kingdom. Sending data to the AI providers above is a transfer outside the UK.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently erases your account, synced emails, deals, plans, scripts, Studio videos, support messages and notifications, cancels any subscription and revokes Gmail access. Backups containing it are overwritten within 14 days. Studio keeps uploaded clips for 7 days after an edit is finished and the edit itself for 60 days, then deletes them.
Your rights
You can access and export your data (Settings, or ask us), correct it in the app, delete it, object to or restrict processing, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Cronyx is not for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
